let's have a mini intro...
Pavi was born in colonial India around the time of the British East India Company rule to a Bengali family, though complications in her birth were evident. A sickly child, she certainly wasn't expected to live very long. Her parents were traditional, and frequently refused to acknowledge her needs for a doctor, in which Pavi's sickness was what doomed her. The girl's inability to stay healthy left her disregarded by her family and thought of as a cursed child; she was not married off because of this, and received no interest from other men.
Dying of natural causes, thankfully not from anything obscene, she was sent to the Soul Society and aimed to become something she wasn't able to be in her past life - strong.
Pavi was a protegee in the Academy and gained the interest from Captain Commander Hideki Miyamoto. Considering taking her under his wing, it was certainly a first for both parties; Hideki had never thought of having a student, and Pavi never had someone take any remote interest in her before. Thankfully, it paid off, and Pavi ascended the ranks and was hand-picked by Captain Commander Miyamoto to be his Lieutenant after the former died of suspicious causes.
The two have a strange relationship to say the least, but Pavi succeeds in helping her Captain with various loads of paperwork and making important military decisions, as surely, she was trained by the best. However, one can tell Hideki is not exactly what he seems; over the years Pavi has distanced herself from her former mentor, seeing his strange behaviors as erratic, and not necessarily agreeing with half of the orders he commands as they frequently clash with her own personal views. Though holding respect for the Commander's power and intelligence, she also fears him - he could have her killed, and because of this, she follows him blindly in fear of losing her life for the second time.
